First time. Most of the things I do, share and have here on PCT and as a Creative Planner are considered "firsts." I recently did my first shop feature, got my first A5 planner, first time to get an SB planner and more. Now, as I aim to share everything (to the best that I can) about Creative Planning, I have come up to my first Plan with Me post entry!

I am so sorry but I cannot go live yet. The last time I did a vlog was way months ago. I still don't have the guts and materials (camera, tripod, and a decent work table) yet. So bare with me, please! 😉

The first thing I did before 2017 started is to set up the dashboard of my personal (Kikki K Cute) and blog (Carpe Diem The Reset Girl) planners. The dahsboard is the part of the planner which has pockets and the first thing you will see when you open.

For my Kikki K Cute, I inserted three Project Life (PL) cards in the pockets. I also used clips - ribbon, frappe, bag, shaker clip and flamingo button and one that says "happy". Some of the clips are form Papermela, DecoArt and some I got from generous planner girls during meet ups. I also have sticky notes which I use for listings. I used another PL Card and punched 6 holes on it to give me inspiration whenever I open my planner.

Here you go for my Carpe Diem TheResetGirl. This is in A5 size. I didn't replaced the pocket card that came in with the planner. I added a PL card again in the pocket with a cat's face and one with a drawing of a bicycle. Some more clips are added as well. One of my favorite is the Unicorn clip from Crafty Papillon.

When I was still new with this craft (well, I still think I am a newbie), I admit that my decorations are nowhere to go. I don't have a theme per week. Everything are scattered. As time goes by, I started to apply a theme per week and started to love simple and clean layouts.

For Week 1, I decided to use the freebie stickers I got from the  Journal and Planner Enthusiasts Philippines Grand Meet 2016. 

The inserts I used are from CraftnCreatePH. Vertical layout works for me. I used the flamingo inspired stickers from Frafee for my Kikki K. I also added recollection washi tapes on the edge where the holes are at.  The CarpeDiem is undated so I needed to cutout numbers from an old calendar we have at home. I pasted those using a glue tape. I still have unsued stickers from Papermela's Hibiscus Collection. Since my Carpe Diem is a blog planner (and I also do food blogging), I stamped a french fries and hotdog sandwich to it. The stamps are part of the set from Just to remind me that I need to blog about a recent food tasting. Last to get a touch of design is my Starbucks I use for journaling. Since it's a journal, designs are minimal so I can scribble, draw and doodle.

Week 2

I want to show you for Week 2 how the planners look like before the pen and after. I used same sets of list stickers from same sticker shop. If you wanna know where did I bought that watermelon paper clip, it's from Bits to Pieces. Next, I stamped an icon of a laptop and a unicorn on my Carpe Diem that I colored after. I put 2 designs of washi tapes at the bottom of the pages, too.

Hello there! First week of the year 2017 has just passed and my planners are doing a great job on releasing my stress and making me align to my tasks and schedule. Anyhow, this year, I have decided to start what PCT aims on sharing to you. That is, to share the shops I trust.

Mostly, the sellers of planner and other craft items are also creative planners. Like this one we are featuring the first time. Crafters Avenue is an Instagram and Facebook online shop owned by Cathrea Joy Fernandez.

Cathrea is a Creative Planner, too. She started with the craft last September 2015. She is really interested with Calligraphy until she saw that the art is being incorporated as design by other creative planners. She joined the group out of curiosity.

I asked Cathrea some questions about her business and about Creative Planning. Here are her answers. 

What made you interested in creative planning?

I love sitting on a desk and planning things out. I'd been doing this with just a paper and a pen back then but when I discovered creative planning, I was able to plan more because it was more fun to write your dreams and aspirations with  washis, stickers, colored pens, stamps and decorative papers!

Why did you put up an online arts and crafts store?

I'm an Electronics Engineer by profession and I love numbers as expected. I wasn't really creative back then. The last time I can remember that I have hoarded stickers before I got into creative planning was during my elementary days. I hoarded art papers and stickers that time.

I dream of running a business since I was in college and I have already tried selling different things. I open up Crafters Avenue so I can hoard more and at the same time sell these items to my fellow creative planners and crafts enthusiast at a lower price and I'm  having so much fun doing what I'm doing right now. :)

 How long are you selling?

I just started selling last July 2016. That's almost half a year but I'm seeing myself doing this forever!




Crafters Avenue sells almost all sorts of things a planner girl needs. There are stamps, stickers, planners, card stocks, ink pads and other planner stuff. The one that I got from her is my new A5 Carpe Diem The Reset Girl Planner. Crafters Avenue uses Fastrack as their courier. When she shipped my order, I got it 2 days after. She told me she put the order under insurance as well. When I got it, it’s completely sealed and is inside a bubble wrap.

I reviewed her shop on Facebook that’s why I also get notifications if someone reviews it. My planner friends also gave her 5 stars. Our reasons:

• The owner responds to query dearly
• The owner is accommodating
• The owner ships order on time
• Cheaper prices
• Fast transaction

I have been seeing in my Instagram this new artsy place I have recently discovered. I had found out about it when I saw that my favorite Arts and Crafts store – Deco Art has another home in the heart of Maginhawa.

For those born to explore, love arts and crafts and on for a chit chat while sipping coffee- better get your shoes on and pass by The Wander Space.

The Wander Space is a concept store and café for travel and art aficionados. Or, even if you are not, you are very much welcome to visit and appreciate them!

The store opened last October 2016 and I was able to visit before the year 2016 ended. It has already alot of brand partners in the store. There is even a cafe that serves cupcakes and cofee at the far side that is comfy for long chit chats. Me and my friend went here to check while deciding where to eat on our latest food hop in the eat street.

Some other things I have seen are stickers by Kwan, patches (that I plan to buy and put on my denim jacket), statement shirts, dream catcher and perfume.

 

I have heard that you can also hold workshops in The Wander Space. That may be is the reason why it is spacious. There is a long table at the center of the store which is used during workshops. One that I have seen on their Instagram account is a Calligraphy Workshop. Wow! I wanted to learn more about Calligraphy. I wish I have seen the post early enough. I could have joined. 

I got this planner from Crafters Avenue which is an online shop owned by one of my planner girl friend - Cathrea. This is currently my first A5 planner. Boxed sets are available but you can also purchase the planner (ala carte), inserts and other accessories separately.

So there you have it! That's the newest addition on my growing planner collection. The Reset Planner is really beautiful and given that it's A5, I can write alot on it. I am a planner who uses planner as a journal, drawing pad, diary and organizer. I am pretty sure this will work a lot for me! I can't wait to show you how I did my set up. "Till next time!
